Very dry skin may still want to layer a richer moisturizer on top of the gel.

For normal to oily skin, the Deep Hydration Gel alone is usually enough. For dry skin, adding a moisturizer over the gel and under the sunscreen is a reasonable extra step, since gels are lighter by design than creams.

Yes, it is designed as a standalone morning routine, so it works fine alongside a separate night routine built around different actives, such as retinol or a stronger peptide treatment.
